Summer Re-cap!

Wow, I guess it's been long enough since I last wrote, so I will try and do a quick recap of everything going on! Graduation(which I play at with the band) was on May 26. I have had a busy summer since the Monday following that. I went to a camp that was required for an internship I'm doing this summer. That camp was called the Colored Country Natural Resource Camp. It was a lot of fun, but kind of long since there were no showers :) We learned a lot from how to use compass's, how to use a map, kayaking, archery, shooting, and how to use an atalatol (Indian spear-thrower). We went mt biking, spent time in groups doing workshops, oh and I spent one morning at the hospital because I was super sick! What a week! I got home about 5:30 Saturday night and was gone again Monday morning for Girl's State. I hope to post pictures from that soon! Once again I got home about 5 Saturday night after a very busy, exciting, eventful, and fun week! Luckily there was no unannounced hospital visits during this week! The following Monday I started my job/internship with the division of wildlife services working in the Virgin River literally counting fish. It's not really my cup of tea, but hey, at least I get paid! Since this is my first week off since my job started I spent Saturday with my friend Kylee Sawyer in Kanab and went to spend the night in Alton with Tia and our family celebrating the "4th of July". Unfortunately my allergies were so bad I had to take some medicine and in knocked me out so I missed the fireworks! Sunday I headed straight to Beaver to visit Jocee and her adorable kids. Oh, and Zorn. ;) While there I did everything from go horse-back-riding, to a parade, got a haircut, played Sims, and went to see "Eclipse". I got back today, and brought Mily with me! :) It was a fantastic trip and has been an incredible and busy summer! :)hopefully I can get some more pictures up soon!! for now, enjoy these few!

Beaver

This past week I got the opportunity to drive up to Beaver to spend a few days with Jocee. It was so much fun!!! I also had some interesting experiences while I was up there. I had my first opportunity to drive in the snow, as well as got hit with snow from a passing snow plow.
I went up on Monday afternoon and stayed until yesterday afternoon. During my stay, I got to go sledding, watch my niece and nephew, and watch "Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure"(which was a very cute movie) :) I really enjoyed going sledding with Brejden and Mily, but it was a little cold and our adventure was cut short when Mily informed me "I haf to go potty." I ran her and Brejden to the car as fast as I could, buckled them in, and drove as quickly as I dared in the snow. When we got back to Jocee's, she said "I don't hafta go anymore, Aunt Jill." little did I realize that she had gone in her underwear...but Jocee found out and sent both her and Brejden to take a shower. It was freezing cold up in the snow, but very fun! :)
On the Tuesday I was there, Jocee had to take Cartr to the doctor to get him circumcised. The doctor was in Cedar, so I got to watch her kids. When they woke up from their naps I played Candy Land with them, then a few other games. After a little while we decided to watch a movie and that was when I saw "Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure". A very cute movie :) I really enjoyed it :) Jocee brought home some pizza and we ate that for dinner.
On Wednesday it snowed all day. We went to a friend of Jocee's just to visit and hang out, and I got to see their beautiful horses :) It was a lot of fun visiting with them and seeing Shiloh again (who went with us to the Taylor Swift concert last May). When we were leaving, Jocee had already climbed into the car, and the two boys were all buckled in. I was doing Mily's buckle up when all of the sudden a loud car was coming down the road. I didn't think anything else of it, but then it passed. It was a snow-plow and I got a back full of snow as well as a lot in the car itself. Mily was complaining because she got a little wet too. It was really funny though, and makes for a great story! :)

Time Well Spent

I recently got to spend some good times with Jessica, Colby, and Smokey Joe. We did many different things, like packing boxes, going shopping, packing boxes, getting haircuts, and did I mention packing boxes?! Yeah, I went and helped Jessica pack up all of her belongings.
My journey began, surprisingly, at Pine View High School on July 22nd. I went up on a bus with all the other bando's from the Washington County School's to perform in two parades. We practiced for two hours about 2-3 times a week. It was well worth all of our efforts when we marched in both The Bountiful Handcart parade as well as The Days of '47 parade. After the Days of '47 parade, the band went and spent the afternoon playing at Lagoon. I had a fantastic time with all of my friend's that went!! On July 25th we went to 7 Peaks water park and played until about 3:30 in the afternoon. I was picked up by Jessica and Colby and taken back to their house (and a really nice shower!!)
While amidst all the scramble to pack, Jessica, Jordanne, Courtney(who had come up for a night), and I found time to stop by Jessica's hairdresser. I was convinced by Jordanne to cut my hair really short again... It feels so much lighter!! :) It's definitely a change, though.
I stayed with them in Salt Lake until July 31, and we proceeded with "The Move". (You can read her blog for details). I stayed in Pheonix with her until the following Monday, and then I finally made it home :) It was a really good trip with my time well spent! At least I wasn't sitting at home doing nothing!! :)
